The Massage and Bodywork Therapy Practice Act was established by the General Assembly to protect the public health, safety and welfare. It is therefore the policy of the Board to discipline incompetent and fraudulent practitioners. The Board relies on both licensees and members of the public to report potential violations of the Practice Act (laws) and the Rules and Regulations (rules).

How do I report a complaint or grievance to the Board?
Complaints about licensees, schools of massage and bodywork therapy, or those who may be practicing massage and bodywork therapy without a license shall be filed with the Board Office. These complaints should refer to a violation of the laws or rules.  To report a possible violation of the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy Practice Act or Rules and Regulations of the Board, complete the electronic form or mail the form to the Board office with any supporting documentation.  You may download the form from the Board's website under the Document Center tab.  To file the complaint electronically, use the link below
